Volunteer

Here are a few of the volunteer roles that we have.  We’d love to have you!

• Greeting/Registering HUB Kids - Welcoming the kids as they arrive after school.  Making sure everyone checks in on the computer.  Arrive by 2:45 pm.  

• Mentoring - One on one with a student that's identified by The HUB Coordinator.  Hanging out, talking, playing a game to connect.  Flexible days and times.  

• Homework Help - Enjoys helping students learn and is willing to sit down with them either one on one or in a group to help work through their homework.  Homework help is not needed every day.  

• Playing Games - Both inactive games (like board games, etc.) or active games (like volleyball, etc.) are available.  There are scheduled activities daily.  

• Preparing and Serving Food - The HUB provides a meal each day to students.  Meal plan and supplies/ingredients are provided; help is needed to prepare and serve the food.   

• Kitchen Cleanup - Making everything neat and tidy again.  

• Maintenance - Projects could include helping with landscaping, setting up/tearing down chairs and tables from events, fixing/replacing things such as paper towel rolls or light bulbs, etc. 

• Helping With Craft Projects - Helping kids with their arts or craft projects.  Flexible schedule. 

• Share Your Talent Or Skill - Guest speakers are often brought in to share their talent or skill.  If you have a talent or skill that you would like to share with the students, contact The HUB Coordinator.  

Volunteering at The HUB or with HUB Kids is a great way to fulfill your school Community Service requirement.
